Additional Information

Is It "Just Picky Eating," or Something More?

Does it seem that every child we evaluate is described as a problem eater? Many children go through phases of selective eating. But for some families, mealtimes become stressful, emotionally exhausting, and nutritionally concerning. Feeding challenges affect the whole family. Understanding what's typical, and what may need support, can change mealtimes from stressful to manageable. Early understanding leads to earlier support, better outcomes, and more confidence for both children and caregivers.

This course helps you clearly identify the difference between typical picky eating, severe selective eating (including ARFID and other diagnoses), and problem feeding behaviors that may require professional support. You'll leave with practical tools, evidence-based strategies, and greaterconfidence supporting the families you work with.

The content of this program is germane to children, students and clients ages birth to 21 years old.
