Rehabilitation following anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction is extensive and has many different components. When treating the youth athlete there are unique considerations that require additional understanding to provide evidence-based care. This course will discuss phases of ACL rehabilitation pre-operatively through return to sport. This course will also touch on youth athlete ACL tearepidemiology, risk factors, and evidence-based ACL injury prevention strategies. Attendees will review the evidence behind physical therapy care along the full timeline of ACL treatment with a focus on the youth athlete. At the end of this course, attendees will have improved treatment progression skills and criterion-based knowledge they can apply immediately to their youth ACL reconstruction patients.
