The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) encourages the use of evidence-based practice in clinical decision-making; however, recent surveys show that most clinicians report they do not have the time to researchtopics. Autism research has doubled over the past decade and with advances in neuroimaging, we now know which neurological differences can predict future language development. Participants who attend this course will have the opportunity to evaluate research from multiple disciplines and develop an understanding of how neurodivergent brains process input differently during sensitive periods in language development.

the content that stood out to me was that no all language delays are equal and that language delays in autistic children are or can be significantly different.

i think this research is extremely vital to work in ei. i will have to frequently reference this as it was a lot of information but i hope that it will slightly change my therapeautic approaches in much needed ways

instructor had poor articulation. it was quite difficult to understand her sheech. her flat affect and lack of animation made it difficult to engage with content.
