Have fun and learn activities you can put into practice right away. Strengthen your pediatric clients' executive function using evidence-based strategies that are concrete and easy to implement. Activities can be tailored for all ages and diagnoses. This course will provide a brief description of what executive functions are and how to address them. Assessment tools will be described to enable clinicians to appropriately measure executive function abilities. Participants will gain insights into the current evidence base for executive function interventions, covering keyapproaches like exercise, meditation, and computer-based techniques. We will engage in a collaborative brainstorming session to develop creative ideas for embedding these interventions into client-centered activities. A step-by-step intervention protocol derived from the research will bepresented, demonstrating how to embed executive function intervention into meaningful tasks and providing participants with practical strategies to take into their clinical practice. The theory behind the intervention will be discussed so thattherapists can understand the "why" behind the "what." Participants will walk away equipped with practical strategies to elevate their clinical practice.
