Additional Information

In 2024, the CDC reported that one in six children is diagnosed with a developmental disability. Research has shown that motor skills afford exploration, provide experience, and agility, which are critical for promoting brain structure andfunction (Shi, 2022). Despite the correlation between milestone achievement and later intelligence and mentalhealth, the AMA adjusted milestone markers, putting U.S. children further behind. This course will provide professionals working in early intervention a checklist of key milestones to provide targeted interventions, from nutrition and sleep to open learning strategies, to boost motor development!

The content of this program is germane to children, students and clients ages Birth-3 yearsold.

this was an amazing course! she did an outstanding job providing examples and evidence based information on why motor delays are linked to cognition in the future. this was a perspective i had not been provided in other coursels.
