Underlying neural patterns that originate during our vital development period in the first year of life can have long lasting effects on our progression of functional skills later in life. The presence of unintegrated reflexes can lead to erroneous movement patterns and compensation techniques in a competition of involuntary and voluntary control. Conditions can arise from such conflicting neural patterns like toe walking in the pediatric population, skill disruption in the school-aged child and chronic conditions like back pain in the adult population. This course offers tools for detectingthose underlying erroneous neural patterns, highlighting thediagnoses most often associated with reflex involvement. Participants will use these skills to direct treatment strategieslearned during the course for improved therapeutic outcomes you can use right away in the clinical setting.

fairly basic, very similar to her other course "reflex integration eval and treatment", and not enough time spent on treatment techniques.

clear information related to the topic of reflexes and considerations for assessment and treatments. would have liked to see videos of clients demonstrating certain movements, interventions or reflex testing but otherwise instructions were good.
