Children who are non-ambulatory are at increased risk for orthopedic and other medical complications that can be painful and impair quality of life. The use of a stander has demonstrated positive medical benefits and can improve quality of life. This course will review the research on positive medical benefits of utilizing a stander as well as review strategies to prescribe appropriate equipment. The learner will be able to make appropriate recommendations and complete documentation upon completion of this course.

The content of this program is germane to children, students and clients ages 9 months-21 years old.

Target Audience: Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants

the instructor stated she has learned alot about standers by practicing \/ use of standers. i was hoping for more information beyond what i have learned through use, specifically about different standers. i guess i already have a good understanding about equipment.
