Children with neurodevelopmental disorders often present with tonal issues. The treatment of tone issues can sometimes appear to be more of an art than a science. Clinicians need to be aware of the state of the evidence to effectively partner therapeutic adjuncts with pharmacological and neurosurgical treatments. This course will teach participants to accurately classify tone, know the evidence-related treatment, and point the clinician in the right directionin order to help their clients maximize function and quality of life outcomes.

this course was very informative to understanding the various type of movement disorders and understanding tone. i felt that the course lacked in terms of providing education on how to implement tone management strategies as a therapist. it listed a research article instead and briefly provided some examples, which i feel like i could google that information myself. it would have been great to hear real life examples provided by the educator as they have many years of experience in pediatrics.

instructor was very knowledgeable. ways to assess and classify tone still not fully clear by end as videos weren't always clear and some seemed similar.
