Additional Information

This 2-hour dynamic course will take you on the autism journey to help you understand the importance of visual supports and early intervention for this growing population. Not only is "making visual" essential, it can also help to improve classroom success and daily living skills. It is time to think outside the box and get creative in your home, classroom, and therapy settings. Participants will be provided practical visual supports and strategies to use in the home, natural setting, therapy setting or school. The course will provide participants with low budget resources they canimplement tomorrow as well as a greater appreciation of the child with autism.

this presenter was excellent as regards visual supports. i think that maybe the discussion and recommendations for movement are beyond her scope of practice. working with an ot for that part of the presentation would be helpful, or just concentrating on visual supports. i appreciated the real-life examples but would have benefitted from a wider population. her examples mainly focused upon her daughter. i do want to say that her heart for her students is wonderful and she has excellent ideas.

i loved how belinda made the information easy to understand and at the same time express the effectiveness and benefits from using visuals.

i've been doing summit for years and their courses are usually pretty good, but this course by belinda worley is the very best yet! if i could give her 10 stars, i would. i walked away with my toolkit full with much more to explore. she makes me want to be a better cota ( and i've been told i'm one of a kind already.) thank you belinda for sharing what you know to make the journey easier for the rest of us. i did not once wish she'd hurry up. she used my time well and it didn't take me 4 to 6 hours to do a 2 hour course. i actually wanted to print off resources.
