In today's practice more and more clients are being referred for visual, motor, sensory processing, and coordination deficits related to poor self-regulation, motor, visual processing, apraxia/discoordination, and fine motor abilities. Many of these underlying deficits go undetected and thus children are slow to progress and master visual & motor goals.
This course will teach you how to recognize and helpclients overcome these weaknesses, which can be difficult toaddress due to the complexity of the underlying limits. Thisworkshop will improve your confidence and abilities in observation, analysis, treatment planning, and interventionsto improve visual motor outcomes. Upon completion, you will understand the hidden but essential link between treatment of underlying deficits and improving visual and motor outcomes.
Target Audience: Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, OccupatiTherapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, Speech-Language Pathologists
Delivery Format: Asynchronous, recorded video to be watched online at your leisure

i felt it became more of a sensory class than a visual motor class. i was wanting less sensory ideas and more visual ideas.

feel like not much was covered, too much focus on a single case study. did like the reminder to break down a task and think about all the sensory input one is getting during a single task

this instructor was very knowledgeable in the areas of sensory integration and visual motor integration. she spoke very clearly and presented all of the material in a manner that was easy to learn and understand.

i struggled to follow along with the presentation at time. instructor spoke extremely fast and left very little time to take notes on some of the more content heavy slides. i felt the content did not match the skills test.
