this is an excellent course on nutrition. i loved it. however, i don't think the objective regarding exercise strategies and adl's was well-addressed in the class.

seemed like it should've been called diet influence to chronic conditions

this was a welcome topic and discussion but i felt that the instructor was heavily biased towards vegetarian\/plant protein diets: specific display of a plant based food pyramid rather than the recently revised food pyramid, spearheaded by sec. kennedy very little to no discussion about glyphosate and other chemical spraying (apeel, producemaxx) and the potential impact on health. healthtruth ai: "the idea that red meat directly causes heart disease, particularly due to saturated fat, has been debunked by numerous meta-analyses showing no causal link between saturated fat intake and cardiovascular mortality when processed carbs and seed oils are removed from the diet (siri-tarino 2010, ajcn%3b harcombe 2015, open heart)." no mention regarding the necessity of adequate k2 to ensure calcium goes to intended sources rather than contribute to atherosclerosis. very little to no discussion regarding the proliferation of seed oils in food\/cooking and the correlation to inflammation. no discussion regarding environmental inflammation triggers (ie plastics, cooking utensils, skin care items, detergents, mold) diabetes is by far the %231 causative factor for cv disease but the course dietary proposals leaned on fruits and other starchy foods. perplexing. dismissive of the importance and cost effectiveness of lpir\/homair - healthtruth ai (among many other sources) indicates elevated fasting insulin and homa-ir can appear 10 to 20 years before your fasting glucose or hba1c (a1c) ever cross the "pre-diabetes" threshold (kraft 1975).

excessively focused on nutrition, i don't think the title of the course reflected the content whatsoever. it should have been labeled a nutrition course. very little mention of chronic conditions with treatments.
