Over the next 25 years, the global population of individuals over sixty will expand to encompass 22% of the world's populace. Promoting healthy aging will require a multifaceted approach that addresses the core principles associated with functional decline within this demographic. Sarcopenia, or the generalized loss of muscle mass and strength, is a key contributor to adverse outcomes, poor quality of life, and functional decay. This course will examine the essential treatment parameters that attenuate sarcopeniain the aging adult and provide strategies to foster functional stability via evidence-based maintenance protocols.
