Vestibular dysfunction is a primary cause of dizziness and balance impairments. Impairments of the vestibular system can affect any age group and can become significantly more common with age. Dizziness that comes from vestibular impairments may have many different clinical presentations. Balance deficits may occur in conjunction with dizziness or present without dizziness.
The rehabilitation specialist needs to understand the varied vestibular pathologies and causes of dizziness/balance dysfunction to treat these individuals. This course will provide the clinician with a foundational understanding of common and uncommon cases of dizziness and balance impairments. It will also cover specific tests to use in the evaluation process to improve the rehabilitation diagnosis for these patients. Finally, it will provide specific treatment strategies to best manage these individuals throughout the rehab process.

summit in general could edit videos so that visual aids that the live class is seeing are always visible to video watchers in a large format while the presenter is speaking rather than a close up of the speaker

ironic that a course on vertigo\/dizziness would cause motion sickness\/dizziness! the constant shifting of the camera, occasionally even when he was turning his head was way too much! the large space between the screen and the computer encouraged the constant movement back and forth, but it was not easy to watch. i have watched several other courses through summit and this was by far the worse jerking camera motion i have seen.
