This hands-on course will provide therapists of all levels with evidence-based evaluations and treatment strategies to effectively and competently treat the neurological patient. Participants will learn how to treat as a member of an interdisciplinary team as all therapists play a distinct andintegral role in treating the neurological patient. If you are already treating neurological patients, refine your skills and learn cutting edge treatments. As a new therapist to neurological patients, learn the common cognitive barriers to safe and independent mobility, ADLs, reading, and communication. Participants will trial effective evaluationsand treatments that can be applied in any clinic/facility the very next day. Participants will be engaged in learning the appropriate referrals to enhance the functioning of a neurological patient. Participants will also become confident in treating and billing for the neurological patient. Therapists will leave this course with the competence to treat the whole person - the mind and body - for maximizing function.
Target Audience: Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, Speech-Language Pathologists, Athletic Trainers
