Every year more than 795,000 people will have a stroke in the US. Approximately 29% of those will experience unilateral neglect consequently. Unilateral neglect creates deficits across all domains of movement and function including strength, motor planning and vision. It is one of the most challenging diagnoses referred to rehab professionals. This course will examine the presentation of neglect, discuss in detail the specific components and provide treatmentsuggestions.

talking about different ways to keep a stroke patient's hand on the fww at the end of the course. in agreeance about using a givmohr sling with a fww, however, i do like to use a shoulder subluxation brace with the rolyan walker splint or use a platform or icu walker to provide the approximation or proprioceptive feedback.

i would have liked to seen the camera pointed at the slides when the instructor was speaking instead of just focusing on the instructor herself, since i took this class online instead of in person.
