Parkinson's disease is a common neurological diseaseaffecting older adults across a variety of clinical practicesettings. Parkinson's disease can be progressive in nature and lead to functional decline including impaired activities of daily living, balance function, gait, and ultimately quality of life and independence. This course will discuss the recommendations in the clinical practice guideline from the American Physical Therapy Association (2022) and provide examples of how to apply the recommendations to your daily practice.

i work in home environments and alf's, where i do not always have gym and other equipment. i would have liked to see other exercises that do not include harnessed treadmill assist.

sometimes felt that it was a little slow - reading straight off of powerpoint. however, i did really love the incorporation of video examples when discussing exercise intervention.

this course was very basic and entry level. not helpful if you have any experience in working with those with a diagnosis of pd.
