Additional Information

Brainstem strokes are the deadliest and most common type of stroke globally. In the United States, strokes are incredibly frequent. However, many healthcare providers lackthe confidence to treat patients after a brainstem stroke, which can lead to poorer patient outcomes and missed opportunities for maximizing reimbursement. Further, rapid decline can occur after just 10 days of bed rest, highlighting the need for early and confident rehabilitation techniques. This course provides a strong foundation for understanding strokes, particularly those affecting the brainstem. Clinicians will gain refreshed knowledge of brainstem anatomy and common impairments caused by stroke in each area. The course delves into evidence-based and innovative approaches to address these impairments. Clinicians will gain hands-on skills to improve patient outcomes directly in their practice.
