Additional Information

While we know the research and importance of breath, core, and pelvic floor function. Still, many clinicians hesitate to confidently integrate these systems into functional treatment. Emerging evidence shows that poor breathing mechanics, impaired intra-abdominal pressure, and pelvic floor dysfunction contribute to a wide range of conditions-yet they're often overlooked. These issues can impact everything from pelvic floor disorders and orthopedic injuries to sleep and anxiety.

Clinicians who can coordinate these systems build a stronger treatment foundation, leading to better outcomes and higher patient satisfaction. Those who can't often miss the true source of dysfunction-especially in patients who haven't improved with prior care. Those patients are already in your caseload. The question is whether you can effectively treat the root cause.

This workshop gives PTs, PTAs, OTs, OTAs, and athletic trainers a practical framework to evaluate and retrain breath, core, and pelvic floor function as an integrated system. Grounded in Postural Restoration and Pilates concepts, it's built for immediate clinical use. Through hands-on labs and demonstrations, you'll practice assessments, apply treatmentstrategies across multiple positions, and learn how distal muscles support core coordination. You'll also work through progressions and modifications for both fit and frail populations.

You'll leave with a toolkit you can use right away to improve outcomes and address root dysfunction that often goes untreated.

Target Audience: Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, Athletic Trainers
