As medical advances prolong the life of many neurologically impaired individuals, improving the quality of life for these patients are paramount for communication disordersprofessionals. Often these individuals are diagnosed with a motor speech disorder (apraxia or dysarthria) due to damage to the central nervous system or peripheral nervous system. Understanding the classification of these disorders areimportant in the assessment and treatment of theses persons.This course will focus on dysarthria in adult populations. Participants will review the classification and types of dysarthria in addition to a variety of assessment and treatment approaches.

instructor kept repeating same information at the end to use up her allotted time

as a presenter her speech intelligibility was adequate. i feel she may have had sufficient knowledge and experience. however,i do not think she has had enough experience in presenting via this method as evidenced in her long pauses in wanting to present certain aspects of her presentation. she did repeat the content several times

it felt as though some of the video examples were fairly dated and may have been nice to have more updated content.
