A fundamental skill in the clinical setting is the ability to prescribe the appropriate dosage and type of exercise interventions. The rehabilitation specialist must have a comprehensive understanding of the scientific principles behind human muscular response to exercise. In addition to this knowledge, there is also the need to understand how to progress or regress exercise based on the patient physical responses. This course will cover the scientific principles of therapeutic exercise prescription and how it is applied in the clinical setting. It will help clinicians understand the physiological adaptive processes to therapeutic exercise andhow to manipulate these variables to optimize the patient outcomes from rehabilitation.
Target Audience: Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Athletic Trainers

i liked the course overall and learning about mechanotransduction as it was very interesting, but was hoping to learn more about specific therapeutic progressions and regressions as the title suggested instead of reserving it for the last 15 minutes of the presentation.
