The gluteal muscles are notable for their function in supporting upright human locomotion. They are also notable in that many individuals desire hypertrophy of these musclesfor sport performance, and personal aesthetic. To understand the wide variety of patients encountered in the varied health care settings, lifelong review of anatomy and its relevance to function should be a goal. This course will focus on the gluteal muscles and provide an in-depth review of the functional anatomy, discuss pathology commonly caused by its dysfunction and provide tools to help manage them. The knowledge gained from the content will be immediately applicable to all clinical settings.
