Early-career burnout and workforce attrition continue to rise across rehabilitation professions, with recent reports estimating that thousands of physical and occupational therapists leave clinical practice annually due to stress, productivity pressures, poor onboarding experiences, and lack of career preparedness. Many new graduates enter the workforce highly skilled in examination and treatment techniques but underprepared for the realities of documentation efficiency, workplace communication, productivity standards, interview negotiation, and long-term career sustainability.
