A large barrier to a rehabilitative session is a patient's anxiety. An anxious patient can prevent new learning and prevent the patient from fully engaging in session tasks. Session time is wasted if a patient's anxiety is not managed. This course will illuminate techniques to expertly manage a rehabilitation patient's anxiety to achieve productive rehabilitation sessions. In addition, this course will provide evidence-based strategies that the patient can incorporate to effectively manage their anxiety and ensure long-term outcomes.
Target Audience: Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, Speech-Language Pathologists
