The prevalence of shoulder pain in the general population is estimated as being between 15 and 20%. It is the second most common reason for individuals withmusculoskeletal dysfunction to seek treatment from general medical practitioners. Clinicians are faced with the challenge of performing a timely comprehensive examination that provides the necessary information for the development of a clear plan of care for patients and clients. Once the examination is complete, clinicians must choose the best evidence based interventions that can be performed based on his or her psychomotor skill and the patient/client's preference.
This course will assist clinicians with prioritizingexamination tests and measures by presenting recent diagnosis related research for the shoulder complex. Participants will improve their clinical reasoning through study of case examples of patients with varying levels of functionality due to shoulder impingement. Manual therapy techniques will be presented through both live demonstrationand clear, concise illustrated hand-out materials. Clinicians with all levels of experiences and expertise will be able toeffectively manage patients with dysfunction due to shoulderimpingement using a hands-on manual therapy approach.
Target Audience: Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, Athletic Trainers

it was difficult to see when the instructor was showing how to do the evaluation (only half of the upper body was showing and couldn't tell if the shoulder is rotated or neutral or elbow is bent or not.

for online learning, the video didn't capture the screen the instructor was looking on so i had to guess which slide he was using. also, perhaps instead of filming participants doing labs, the instructor can do several 1-1 demonstrations
