Hayley McCurdy, PT, DPT, WPT-FR, is a physical therapist with nearly 20 years of clinical experience. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Emory University and is certified as a Wilderness Physical Therapy First Responder. Dr. McCurdy has also served as a nationally registered EMT and is certified in vestibular rehabilitation. An avid distance runner, Dr. McCurdy completed her first marathon on the Great Wall of China and most recently ran the Boston Marathon. She is the founder of Wandering Sole Running Escapes, where she combines her clinical expertise, passion for endurance sports, and love of adventure to lead backcountry running experiences around the world. She is especially passionate about advancing education and awareness surrounding women's health in outdoor and endurance environments, recognizing the unique challenges women face in the backcountry and the growing need for informed, supportive care in these settings. As the mother of two daughters, Dr. McCurdy is also committed to encouraging confidence, resilience, and a love for adventure in the next generation of young women. Dr. McCurdy is committed to staying current with the latest research and evidence-based trends to better serve her clients and students. She is deeply passionate about education, community involvement, and leadership, and has participated in numerous public education events and professional presentations. Dr. McCurdy enjoys sharing her knowledge with both healthcare professionals and the communities they serve.
