Melinda Butler Henderson

OTR/L, OTD, BCPA, QCP, CLT

Dr. Melinda Butler Henderson, OTR/L, OTD, BCPA, QCP, CLT is a licensed occupational therapist, board certified patient advocate, QAPI certified professional, and Certified Lymphedema Therapist. She has been an instructor for Summit Professional Education, since 2016 and has developed and taught more than a dozen CEU courses, written numerous blogs, and recorded podcasts. She also serves as Summit's AOTA accreditation consultant. Full time, Dr. Henderson serves as Chief Development Officer for BenCura Rehabilitation Services, a full-service rehabilitation management company specializing in skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, and hospital-based outpatient clinics across both urban and rural/critical access areas. She leads initiatives in learning and development, business growth, and program innovation. An international speaker and educator, Dr. Henderson has channeled her passion for productive aging into founding Therapy Strategies Plus, a consulting firm focused on advocacy and education for seniors and their caregivers. A servant at heart, she also serves as a member of the board of directors for the Frankie Mae Foundation, a nonprofit organization supporting caregivers of aging adults. Dr. Henderson is a lifelong learner, dedicated to advancing equitable, evidence-based care for older adults while empowering caregivers and clinicians through education, advocacy, and innovation.
