i appreciated prof. janice's insights and constant modeling of skills. i really enjoyed watching the videos of her therapy sessions. i would have loved to have seen a clip of a student who is dysregulated and how she or another therapist would go being their inner voice to help them regulate or make choices.

i felt the information could be condensed into a shorter course.

the presenter was good, but difficult to follow at times with jumping around with comments\/thoughts and getting lost during the presentation. the content is very pertinent to my specific area of specialty, just really hard to keep engaged with "scattered" thinking\/presenting.

as a physical therapist with adhd and autism, i found this course to be inappropriate at times and highly offensive. many of the tactics that the instructor uses are out of date, and can even be harmful to children with asd (such as forcing eye contact and suggesting that a child is not smart if they are unable to do so). the instructor also made several comments suggesting that people with asd are incapable of true independence. the way she speaks of the autistic community is clearly biased by her own experiences, and is at times detrimental to the community. also, a majority of her sources are 20 years old, with the newest source being 10 years old. i think this course should be removed.
