Torticollis incidents continue to grow annually, however, treatments remain predominantly manual therapy based. Many infants with torticollis present without limitations in their active and/or passive neck motion leaving therapists questioning the best manual therapy approach to use. There are currently no studies on the impact of treating infants with torticollis with a vision-based approach.
This course will demonstrate how to assess infants with torticollis to determine the impact that their vision is playing on their head position. Participants will learn three different vision-based treatment approaches to use with torticollis patients for quick, noticeable improvement in head position within one week of implementation.

this course was fantastic! i have been a pediatric pt for 24 years and learned so much! i appreciate the evaluation and treatment tools she provided. they will certainly enable me to better help babies and toddlers who tilt and turn their heads. i am incredibly grateful that i found this course!

although the instructor was very knowledgeable about vision-related information, it was hard to follow along with as a pt with minimal background in vision.

i would feel more comfortable with doing a 2 week patching program if i had an optomotrist i could work closely with.

it was rushed towards the end and she was unable to explain alternative methods (ex: glasses held at end). i wish she was not limited on time and was able to go over.

excellent information- i have never heard of the importance of the visual component for torticollis.
