Additional Information

It is estimated that >20% of BADLs and >30% of IADLs are impaired in those immediately post stroke, (Gil-Salcedo, et al. 2022). These ADL impairments continue to increase in percentage every year post stroke, (Gil-Salcedo, et al. 2022). This statistic calls for not only initial occupational therapy, but long-term occupational therapy throughout a stroke survivor's journey. This 2-hour webinar will provide practical andevidence-based ADL assessments that can be used initially, or later, in an episode of care. Effective tips for improving BADL and IADLs will be provided. Occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants will leave with a toolbox of new ADL tools that can be used immediately.

Target Audience: Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants

primarily focused on adaptive equipment and less strategies to increase functional deficits. would have preferred more treatment strategies.

this class felt more like an extended inservice. a lot of references to online purchases, found by using google or shopping on amazon. nothing was addressed for the patients who don't have the means to purchase items. i could've easily gone online to shop for the adaptive items. i don't know if she got kickbacks from the companies she mentioned for adaptive clothing.
