Additional Information

Falls are the leading cause of injury-related deaths in older adults, with over 3 million emergency department visits annually in the U.S. alone. But it's not just all about falls, Physical Therapists play a critical role in addressing the multifactorial risks associated with functional decline and hospitalization in the aging population. Clinicians must synthesize physical, cognitive, sensory, and environmental factors when developing individualized plans of care for medically complex patients to optimize mobility and maximizequality of life.

This case-based course provides five diverse, real-world scenarios designed to sharpen clinical reasoning and improveoutcomes in geriatric rehabilitation. Each case integrates functional assessment, evidence-based interventions, and targeted strategies tailored to complex patient profiles. Attendees will gain practical tools for immediate implementation, enhancing safety, independence, and ADLparticipation for older adult clients in the outpatient clinical setting.

just names and a description is confusing. some pictures of a specific pt or short video at start and at end would foster a better understanding

i had difficulty with the format. i expected to be able to print a manual but could only print the outlinend. i learn by reading and reviewing textual content so an outline was not enough for me.
