Preventing medical errors is an essential skill for any healthcare professional working with patients. This course will teach participants to prevent errors by identifying theroot issues that lead to many common medical mistakes. Susceptible patient populations will be discussed alongwith pharmacological implications on safe medical practice pertaining to skilled therapy practice. Case studies will beused to help participants apply knowledge from the course to practical patient situations.

two questions were not addressed: 1. what if you wash your hands for 20 seconds before and after each patient, but by doing so, your hands get very red, raw, and end up with breaks in the skin. what's the plan b scenario for this%3f it happened to me. 2. when it comes to medical errors and transmission of all sorts of bugs, cleaning equipment before and after each patient was not even mentioned. why%3f what types of bugs can get spread around when it comes to facilities not properly cleaning equipment%3f i've never ever ever seen my doctor's doing that!

the presenter was awesome. this material can put the average person to sleep, but i have never seen this course presented this way in 30 years of being an ot. just awesome.

so much data was not current. the most recent was 2019 but a lot of info was 2011-2015. even the beers was not updated from 2019
